A high-rise apartment building full of supers. What could go wrong? A world of superheroes from the perspective of its not-so-heroic and questionably super inhabitants. Updates every Tuesday; Friday strips parody new movies.
There I go again, only telling you character’s names two whole years after I introduce them.
Hey, look at me actually on time for once and proactively jinxing next week by saying so!
You know the drill, vote, donate, whatever you feel like.
This one’ll be up in black and white until later in the day. This is the only thing I do and I’m still constantly on a razor’s edge with it. [[UPDATE]] IN COLOR NOW! Really like how it turned out, actually.
Hey first on-screen appearance of Steve’s mom, Mambo Doubye, AKA Angeline Toussaint, first mentioned in the comic Steve was introduced in. She’s got a fun costume, I enjoyed designing it.
You can encourage me to be better about it by voting with the button below, or better yet, send me some money with the “Donate” button up on the banner.
Sorry we’re a few days late.
I have a fondness for Superpowers with actual, complex scientific explanations. In case you can’t tell from the rest of this comic. Just saying someone is super strong without accounting for things like the tension strength of bones and muscles and issues with proper leverage with that much force being used by a tiny human frame, always felt like cheating to me. You’ve got no rules so you can break them whenever you want. Also I’m SUUUPER anal.
Vote!
Credit to my friend Clara who, in a conversation about Power Girl, (from years ago, before I’d actually started working on this comic (yes I have been planning this stupid gag for that long)) noted that the line in the third panel (verbatim) is all she’d really need to get everyone off her back about the boob window.
Frankly, were I a Kryptonian, and was that completely invulnerable, and I had the physique of any of the Kryptonians, I would struggle to convince myself every single day to fight crime wearing anything at all. That Clark actually bothers to change into something for those quick, faster-than-the-eye-can-see jobs is, frankly, absurd.
Make with the voting, please.
The best excuse I have for last week is: I attempted jogging the previous weekend; things went downhill from there. Color will show up some time today.
I like to think that that pamphlet on Earth Cal mentioned once went really in depth on the planet’s economy and history but largely neglected actual practical advice for passing as human and blending into society.
Vote Please!
Liked that first panel so much I used it twice. This one was a lot of fun, actually. One of those ones I’ve been planning forever, more of which should show up over this and the coming arcs.
Meanwhile, please vote!
Finally, your questions from last we saw our intrepid heroes have been answered!
I actually had a friend kinda make this proposition once. She never really followed through…
Anyway! Vote Please!
I know the comics history of Wakanda completely invalidates a lot of this but I only found that out after I’d written it and it’s not easy coming up with good jokes on a movie that looks that cool. And oh boy, does it!
So that was a long hiatus, eh? About two days longer than the absolute maximum I had in mind when I started it, it turns out. There will be a new, main-story comic on Tuesday, and on conceivable subsequent Tuesdays, hopefully.
Vote please! There’s been a special, romance-themed incentive up since Valentine’s Day, and I hope you like it!
No color for now, not unlike the first trailer. (played-out-joke-heyoo!) Colored version to come later today. [UPDATE]: Color at last! More blue than I really realized going into this.
So hey, theres a Justice League movie now! It’s supposed to be just okay! Hooraaaaaaay!
I’m definitely gonna see it.
Make with the voting now, please. For JUSTICE!!!
[[UPDATE]]! Sorry the Hiatus is taking so much longer than expected, but how ’bout a nice Valentine’s Day voting incentive to get your blood pumping!? A new Comic will go up on Friday for Black Panther, and after that regular updates should start again. In the meantime, here’s two of your favorite characters in a moment of tender intimacy! Just click the button below!
And that’s the end of the Nazi Arc. It took WAY too long. Sorry this page is late, and I’m very sorry the next one is going to be VERY late.
I’m taking a couple weeks off. I will put up a Justice League page next week, of course, but just so I can get so I don’t always feel like I’m being chased by the deadline. The story will continue then, probably with something a little more lighthearted than Nazi Mechas. Like, Communist Magical Girls.
In the meantime, please tell as many of your friends and acquaintances as possible about Kong Tower, and have a vote on TWC with the link below. Probably in the Interim I’ll update the incentive once or twice, just to have something to do.
