A high-rise apartment building full of supers. What could go wrong? A world of superheroes from the perspective of its not-so-heroic and questionably super inhabitants. Updates every Tuesday; Friday strips parody new movies.
I struggled with an idea for a space themed comic for #42 (reference 1 of many), and the idea for a Green Lantern based arc (reference 2) that I had planned for later, when I get around to making these in color, came to mind, but I couldn’t quite get my head around it until I heard the tragic news about David Bowie (reference 3). The end result was this pop-culture-reference laden, artistically expansive comic that I have to say I’m fairly happy with.
Major Tom will return, at a later time, with all the awesome fighting that’s about to happen having occurred off-screen.
[EDIT]: Nothing new for the 26th, I have work and school is starting up and I really need to at least try to build up a buffer.
Vote for Kong Tower, or I may just give up on this before that time comes! *does the dramatic back-of-hand-to-forehead-while-looking-away thing whatever that is*
This comic goes out to anyone and everyone who actually understood the art references in it. Also anyone who got the sci-fi reference in the last panel.
I don’t even have an excuse for skipping last week. I procrastinated, mostly by reading stupid horror stories on the internet. But hey, my first comic of the New Year! Yaaaaaaaay!
If you’ve payed any attention to this comic you should’ve figured that that guy would have shown up right after a comment like “He While E. Coyote’d me!”
Speaking of comments, feel free to leave one! It’ll be a nice treat for me to have something other than spambot comments to delete. I’d appreciate your input!

This comic was delayed for a number of very legitimate reasons, including, but not limited to: the Holiday season, starting a new job, back pain, and Girls With Slingshots.
I’ve simplified how I draw Arachne/Nancy’s hair in several of these panels (not that you can really tell with how dark it is). I originally intended her dreads to look spidery and it did not occur to me how freaking hard it would be to draw that every single time.
Cityscape in trick mural unabashedly (and badly) traced from this page of Strong Female Protagonist, otherwise known as the Tuesday-Friday Superhero webcomic much much much better than mine.
Vote for Kong Tower so I can continue to rip off far superior artists. (please no one sue me. I have NO moneys)
Happy holidays to everyone! I was planning on doing another action strip with Arachne today and publishing something like this on Friday, but who’s gonna actually stop and read a web comic on Christmas morning (besides me, I mean. Nothing stops me.)?
I’ve never actually said this guy’s name before have I? He’s had two appearances and only been known as Aya’s seemingly crazy Medium Aware half-brother. Well, now he’s got a name. Steve. Also, a hallucinating former roommate. Who probably won’t ever come up again. Sorry Phil.
You liked Star Wars! I almost wrote that as a question, but it seemed pointless. Vote for Kong Tower to see the characters from it reimagined as Star Wars characters! Steve is Chewbacca!
Yay! Unfortunately I won’t be seeing the new movie on the premier, but most likely a few days later, so no spoilers in the comments you jackasses!
Vote for Kong Tower on Top Web Comics to see the stunning full-color version! It’s got skin-tones and everything!
I swear to Gods this is supposed to be a Tuesday-updating comic. And it will be, at least for the next couple months since I’m off on winter break and can build up a buffer.
If you’ve ever met an artist who claims to have never swung around a T square as though it were a weapon, you have met a dirty goddamn liar. This guy’s physically based on a friend of mine, who will likely be able to identify himself, assuming he actually reads this. If so, Hey, been a while, hope you’re OK with it.

Bet for a second there you thought I was actually introducing this cool Red Hood type character to actually keep around huh? Nope.
Sorry this is coming out on a Friday instead of the usual Tuesday, but hey, it’s Finals Season. Besides, this is more or less a one-off, so it’s fitting for a Friday.
Vote for Kong Tower.
Yeah, her power is that badass. Been looking forward to this strip for a while. Took more layers than usual but I like how it turned out.
And for those skeptics out there, yes that giant goddamn bird actually existed! And you should all thank your respective deities that that’s in the past tense.
We’re gonna get into a couple actual plot points shortly after this ([EDIT]: but not Tuesday 11/8, sorry, schoolwork. Check again Friday). I just like introducing lots and lots of awesome characters.
Oh look, it’s the first of the month! That means my Top Web Comics standing has just reset and you, my loyal fans, have the opportunity to vote me to the top (well, the lower middle)! Please, Vote for Kong Tower! You can do it every day, and that way it may get to the point that I’m not lying when I say I have fans!
Necroma, uh, took off her bone-necklace in between comics. She put it in her pocket to…keep it safe. I didn’t just get tired of drawing it or anything.
It’s not easy to draw sarcasm on a a skeleton face.
Please Vote for Kong Tower.
[EDIT 11/23] No new strip this 11/24, due to a personal tragedy. We’ll get back on track next week.
This still counts as me passing the Bechdel test even though they’re technically talking about clothes and makeup, right?
So far, if I could have any power I’ve given a character in this comic, I’d pick Necroma’s coat.
