A Strix (plural Striges) is a Greek breed of Vampire which can change form at will between a human and a massive horned owl. In either form, they have yellow eyes. They are unusually organized for Vampires, at least in America.
Abilities
Striges are capable of shapeshifting at will during the night into a single form: a large owl-like creature. Though it may at fist glance seem like simply a very large honed owl, it in fact has four, rather than two legs, as well as pupiless eyes, and a sharp, golden-metallic beak for drinking blood. While the coloration of their plumage may vary, their wings are generally a bloody red.
