I know this is late. Again. This time I blame computer trouble and Critical Role, which I have just discovered and which is awesome.
In case you’re wondering, yes, I had this joke planned way back when I first introduced the unicorn, over a year ago.
[EDIT] Fixed that typo in panel 5. Probably read weird didn’t it?
Please make with the voting, yes.
Remember the Unicorn? From this page? Yeah.
This is late, I am sorry, please don’t hit me.
Instead, Vote! and I’ll see how much you like Kong Tower and be more motivated to get pages out on time!
I felt really bad about not getting anything out last week, and I so wanted to be on time this week, but because of the trip up the country and SF Comic Con (which was great) and this damn heat wave here in SF and general laziness and procrastination… all I could get done was the penciling. So, I scanned that, and did the stuff I usually did after I’d finished inking and digitally coloring it. Think of it as a glimpse into my process. The real version will be up today or tomorrow. Hopefully today.
[EDIT] So it was Friday. In the Evening. Sorry about that.
[FURTHER EDIT] Because I just remembered it’s not at all clear, those are supposed to be the two guys from comic #74: Meanwhile, Among the Villains. That’s what the reference to Piracy is about. I was a little too in my own head there, sorry.
Speaking of Today, it’s an opportunity to vote for Kong Tower on Top Web Comics! As is tomorrow, and pretty much every other day. Thank You!
Steve’s right, this has been going on for like a year. I’m gonna see if I can get this arc out of the way and move on to the next one I have planned in the next ten or so pages. Might have to make some cuts, but the story needs to move along. Stay tuned!
Also Vote for Kong Tower!
Had trouble getting to this one, mainly because I didn’t like the punchline I had originally. Wasn’t until yesterday I figured out one I liked better.
Normally I’d just do a movie strip for Wonder Woman today, but since I was late on that one I just figured I’d put them both out. That didn’t end up working out. I’ll try to put up a comic for Wonder Woman before the weekend’s over, much as I plan to see Wonder Woman in this, the opening weekend, to show my support for female-centered superhero films.
I am tired now and must sleep. Vote please!
Late again! Hopefully these delays will stop once I graduate which is NEXT WEEK OH MY GOD WHAT THE F**K AM I GONNA DO!?!
Ahem. Sorry about that. If you feel like congratulating me, please donate to my Paypal with the “Tip Jar” link at the top of the page. Or if you’re as broke as I am, just vote for Kong Tower with the button below, post about it on social media with some of those other buttons, and tell all of your friends and relations about it.
It was Larry Niven who said “Never fire a laser at a mirror.” Less well known, but equally important is the corollary: “Never fire a heat ray at an oncoming hail of glass shards. Beam weapons are really just stupid in general.”
This is late, I apologize. I want to eat lunch now. Vote please.
Sorry about last week. Midterms.
But hey, 100 comics, baby! Big day for all of us. Mainly me though.
In retrospect I kinda wish the head looked more like it was moving towards the characters, but oh well. Ink is ink.
Celebrate this momentous occasion by voting with the button below! It’s free and you’ll get to see colorized version of Kong Tower #48: A Case of the Living Dead V. Almost done with those, not sure what I’m gonna put up there after.
Pre-colored version up now so I can say I updated on schedule, the fully-finished one and the voting incentive should be up later today. So if you don’t like beige just come back later. Even this I polished off late Monday night, so I’m gonna need to go to bed now. Vote, Bye.
[UPDATE]: Hey, colors! Also Comic #46: A Case of the Living Dead III is now up as a voting incentive through the button below, and I’m pretty happy with it, so… if you don’t mind? Oh, and I should have a comic up some time Friday for Logan, if you have ideas for a joke I could do on it, please don’t hesitate to contact me on my Twitter or other social media.
Sorry about the lateness. Classes have started and all. But hey, at least it’s a decent page, I like the depth I got with the shading.
And hey! you can Vote to see Kong Tower #44, not only actually scanned this time, but fully colored! It’s a pretty effing significant change given the original post was literally a poorly-taker photograph. So vote please!
